Families looking for fun this summer will be pleased to find out that the C.K. Ray Recreation Center, which was previously under construction for an expansion and remodeling, is now open. The improved Rec Center includes “a new Kidz Zone, multi-purpose room, locker rooms, fitness center, welcome center and administrative offices. It also includes a remodeled aerobics room, gymnastics room, game room, two racquetball courts and gymnasium.”

The Rec has something for every Conroe resident and has a variety of amenities to please the community. The Recreation center boasts a full fitness facility, featuring racquetball courts, gymnasium, locker rooms, cardio fitness room, child care room, weight room, and fitness classes for all levels. Each room is equipped with excellent equipment including elliptical trainers, treadmills and upright recumbent bikes in the cardio center.. The weight room has a wide array of machines and free weights. The Rec also offers special interest classes such as gymnastics, karate, and dance. The renovated recreation center has activities for the the whole community to enjoy!
