Conroe’s acclaimed, Lone Star College System is now the recipient of two grants from the U.S. Department of Education tallying over $2.27 million dollars over the next five years!
LSC-North Harris and LSC-Tomball have been awarded these annual grants specifically chosen for Student Support Services, a program that provides assistance to low-income, first-generation students and students with disabilities.
This grant will allow for new Student Services Support program at each of the campuses to provide a widespread range of services to low-income, first-generation or disabled students each year in an effort to improve academic success, retention, graduation and transfer rates for those who might not otherwise have the opportunity for an education.
The chosen LSC campuses plan to meet their program goals through their recognition and choice of students who will academically benefit the most from these exciting new services.
